With the ICC Under-19 World Cup just days away, South Africa's young cricketers have been urged to believe in their talent as they prepare to face the world's best on African soil.
Bowling coach Paul Adams, who forms part of head coach Malibongwe Maketa's backroom staff, says confidence and adaptability will be key as the tournament gets under way in Namibia and Zimbabwe next week. South Africa open their campaign against Afghanistan on 16 January in Windhoek.
Adams believes the World Cup represents both a major opportunity and a crucial learning phase for players who are still at an early stage of their careers. While results matter, he stressed that understanding the rhythm of the game and handling pressure situations are just as important at this level.
