Rabat On High Instructions from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Prince Moulay Rachid received on Monday at the Royal Guest Palace in Rabat the members of Moroccos national football team, finalists of the Africa Cup of Nations AFCON Morocco 2025.

The Prince was greeted by the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, national team head coach Walid Regragui, and the players of the national squad. The reception concluded with a commemorative photograph.

The ceremony reflects the continued royal support for youth development and sport, and highlights the importance King Mohammed VI places on football as a key driver of social and human development.

Following the AFCON final match, in which Morocco faced Senegal, King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to the national team. In his message, the King praised the Lions of the Atlas for their outstanding tournament performance, noting that their journey demonstrated how perseverance, discipline, and team spirit lead to success.
