Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Velenkosini Hlabisa, says the opening of the revamped Prince Buthelezi Mall in Empangeni is set to play a meaningful role in stimulating the rural economy.
The mall, formerly known as Greenhills Mall, has been upgraded and renamed in honour of the late founder of the Inkatha Freedom Party IFP, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
Speaking at the official opening, Hlabisa highlighted that the development is expected to create more than 1000 jobs with a strong focus on employing young people.
