Sunshine Queens head coach, Rafiu Oseni, has said that the 2025 Presidents Federation Cup served as a vital preparatory platform for the club's forthcoming promotion play-off.
The Akure-based side bowed out of the tournament after suffering a 4-0 defeat to Nasarawa Amazons in the final quarter-final match held on Wednesday.
Oseni, however, assured supporters that the team possesses the requisite quality to gain promotion to the Nigeria Women Football League NWFL.
We have some players in the team who were not eligible to play for us in this years President Federation Cup, but will be available for the Championship, Oseni stated after the game in Abuja.
They played very well against a more experienced side, who are currently playing in the league.
