Renowned traditional musician John Zuya, popularly known as John Mai Molo, has died after allegedly eating poisoned food in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
Zuya, who recently returned from Lagos on October 16, 2025, after performing at several cultural events, reportedly began feeling unwell and collapsed shortly after eating the suspected meal.
He was taken to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital ATBUTH in Bauchi, where he was confirmed dead.
