Super Falcons defender, Ashleigh Plumptre, has raised alarm over a case of online impersonation.
She raised the alarm after the Nigerian senior female team defeated Tunisia 3-0 in their opening match at the 2025 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON.
Plumptre helped the nine-time African champions keep a clean sheet against the north African side and take the lead in Group B.
Speaking after the game, the England born defender said, as quoted by Ademola Victor TV.
There have been a lot of cases where people impersonate me, taking my name and saying things.
