Police Minister Senzo Mchunu says some members of the KwaZulu-Natal Political Killings Task Team PKTT had confided in him about the way in which the unit was directed.
Mchunu, whos on his first day before Parliaments Ad Hoc Committee, says the members also complained to his two deputies about human resource matters within the PKTT as well as allegations of defeating the ends of justice.
He says such concerns had the potential to damage the Police Services reputation, adding that the concerns led to him writing a letter to disestablish the PKTT on the 31st of December last year.
