Singapore carrier Pacific International Lines PIL has announced the completion of its first intermodal delivery of a shipment landed at the Port of Beira in Mozambique.

The consignment, comprising stranded wire, ropes and cables packed into a single container, was shipped to Chegutu, south-west of Harare, on the Beira Corridor.

Container News reports that the cargo was shipped from Calcutta to Singapore via PILs Calcutta Express Service, before continuing on the Mozambique Feeder Service to Beira.
