The Patriotic Alliance PA has won both wards that were being contested in by-elections in George, in the Western Cape.
Raphael Goeieman won in Ward 17 in Conville, while Marchell Kleynhans won in ward 27 in Pacaltsdorp, both are former Democratic Alliance DA wards.
The DA, PA, African National Congress ANC and the Truth and Solidarity Movement contested both wards.
