Thousands of residents across Cape Towns Deep South are expected to experience a planned overnight electricity interruption as the City undertakes essential upgrades aimed at improving the reliability of the local power network, Cape town Etc reports.
The latest advisory issued by the City of Cape Town warns that electricity will be interrupted in Muizenberg, Clovelly, Sun Valley and a number of surrounding suburbs from 7pm tonight, until 10pm on Sunday, 28 June, while maintenance teams complete critical work on the electricity infrastructure.
The planned outage extends beyond the immediate surrounds of Muizenberg and will also affect Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek, Glencairn, Glen Marine, Glencairn Heights, Glen Ridge, Welcome Glen, Woodlands, Da Gama Park, Dido Valley, Bay View Village, Bayview Heights, Simons Town, Simons Kloof, Seaforth, Red Hill, Boulders, Middle Beach, Bellvue, Wintord, Murdock Valley, Smitswinkel Bay, Cape Point, Noordhoek, Long Beach, Ocean View, Soetwater and Kommetjie.
