KwaZulu-Natal Transport MEC Siboniso Duma has announced the deployment of more than 3 000 law enforcement officers to reduce road fatalities over the Easter long weekend.
The announcement was made during the launch of the Easter Holiday Campaign at uMdloti, north of Durban. Duma also conducts inspections of public transport vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
He says joint operations will be carried out across the province, with various agencies working together to improve road safety.
