Former Chelsea and Brazil midfielder Oscar is in a stable condition at the Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital in So Paulo after a frightening cardiac incident during pre-season fitness tests on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Softfootball gathered that the 34-year-old reportedly collapsed while taking part in an interval test on an exercise bike at So Paulo FC's training ground, losing consciousness for almost two minutes before being revived by the club's medical staff.
In a statement, So Paulo FC confirmed that the player had shown "cardiological changes" during the session and was given immediate medical attention before being rushed to hospital. Oscar was initially admitted to the ICU but has since been stabilised. He's now under close observation as doctors carry out further tests to determine the exact cause of the incident.
