Orange Sierra Leone has announced the appointment of Madam Aicha Toure as its new Chief Executive Officer, ushering in a new phase of leadership and strategic direction for the telecommunications company. She officially assumed the role following a warm reception from the outgoing CEO, Mr. Sekou Amadou Bah, who introduced her to the company through a guided tour of key facilities, including the Orange Digital Center and technical departments, as well as engagement sessions with staff.
Madam Toure brings more than 12 years of experience across the telecommunications, technology, and financial services sectors. She joined the Orange Group in 2017 as Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at Orange Mali, where she played a central role in major transformation initiatives, including the rollout of 4G services, the expansion of fibre infrastructure, and improved access to energy solutions. In 2019, she was appointed CEO of Orange Money Mali, where she led the business to become the national leader in financial inclusion.
An accomplished executive with a strong academic background, Madam Toure holds a master's degree in engineering from CentraleSupelec and an Executive MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT, where she was a Sloan Fellow. She is widely recognised for her commitment to using digital innovation as a tool for inclusive growth and economic empowerment across African markets.
