The latest January 2026 Opensignal Mobile Network Experience Report highlights the performance of Oman's three main mobile operators- Ooredoo, Omantel, and Vodafone -over a 90-day period from October 1 to December 29, 2025. The report evaluated key metrics including overall experience, coverage, speed, consistency, video and gaming experience, as well as 5G-specific performance.
Ooredoo retained its position as the outright winner of the Reliability Experience award, and emerged as the sole winner of Download Speed Experience and 5G Upload Speed Experience. The operator also shared accolades with Vodafone for Games Experience, 5G Games Experience, and Time on Network, bringing its total to six awards, three outright and three joint. These results reflect Ooredoo's ongoing focus on radio modernization and advanced 5G antenna trials aimed at improving network efficiency, coverage, and speeds.
Omantel led in Coverage Experience and 5G Coverage Experience, while also securing 5G Video Experience, 5G Download Speed, and Consistent Quality outright. Omantel shared the Video Experience award with Vodafone. With a total of six awards five outright, one joint, Omantel's strong performance is backed by extensive fiber infrastructure expansion and a network upgrade strategy focused on unlocking 5G Standalone SA capabilities.
