The National Taxi Alliance NTA says commuters can expect a fare increase of around R6 per trip from Wednesday as a result of the fuel price increase .
Petrol is expected to rise by more than R5 per litre, while diesel could increase by nearly R10 per litre.
The hike, which will be implemented at midnight, has been attributed to global oil shocks linked to tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
