Notion has introduced complete Arabic language functionality across its platform, representing its first significant product-focused expansion into the Middle East. Beginning January 26, 2026, the AI-enabled workspace will be accessible in Arabic on both web and mobile applications, a move driven by sustained demand from a fast-growing community of users in the region.
The localisation extends across Notion's main features, including desktop and mobile apps, the homepage and major sections of its website. The update is designed to help teams, entrepreneurs and creators in Arabic-speaking markets work, collaborate and organise projects more naturally in their native language, while continuing to use Notion's adaptable, AI-powered tools.
The Middle East has emerged as one of Notion's most active markets, fuelled by a dynamic startup landscape and rapid digital adoption. The company reports millions of users in the region, with the UAE accounting for hundreds of thousands. Organisations such as Emirates Foundation and Emirates Investment Bank are among its customers, and more than 1,000 startups in the UAE have joined Notion's Startups Program.
