A Northern Cape man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for raping a 10-year-old girl between 2023 and 2025.
The Colesberg Regional Court heard that the man, who was the minors neighbour, started sexually abusing her when she was eight years old.
Provincial police spokesperson Molefi Shemane says the man has been declared unfit to possess a firearm and his name will be entered into the National Register for Sex Offenders.
