The Director of Transport Regulation for Northern Capes Department of Transport says collaboration with the Free State will boost effectiveness and ensure the safety of road users.
Nonkoliseko Joka says head-on collisions have increased during this festive season.
The department has joined resources with the Free State, to tackle the problem.
