Nigeria's U-20 men's national team, the Flying Eagles , have departed Cairo for Ismailia ahead of their quarter-final clash at the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, Soccernet.ng reports .

The record seven-time champions sealed their place in the last eight after a gritty 2-2 draw against Kenya in their final Group B fixture, a game that also was their 100th match in the competition's history.

The result saw Nigeria finish second in the group with five points, trailing leaders Morocco, who ended with seven following a 3-1 win over Tunisia.

Nigeria began the tournament with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Tunisia and then drew 0-0 with Morocco before the dramatic contest against Kenya at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo.

In Wednesday's thriller, Kenya stunned the Flying Eagles early when Kevin Injehu converted a sixth-minute penalty after a handball by Emmanuel Chukwu.
