Newcastle United have apparently turned their attention to West Ham United attacker Mohammed Kudus after it was revealed that Bryan Mbeumo prefers a move to Manchester United.
In what was news that made headlines in English football media recently, United and Newcastle were set to battle it out for Mbeumo, who lit up the Premier League last season.
Nonetheless, with the Cameroon star opting to join United instead, football journalist Pete ORourke has revealed that Newcastle are now interested in signing Kudus.
Hes definitely somebody who is on Newcastles list. Weve been talking about it for ages now, the research for this right-sided forward that they want to bring in. Rourke told Football Insider .
Kudus would fit the bill for that one, obviously left-footed, inverted, he can score goals and create goals. I think missing out on Mbeumo, is a big blow to Newcastle, because Eddie Howe had made him his top target.
