Nec Projects 1trn Economy By 2030 With New Road Map

The National Economic Council NEC on Thursday unveiled the framework for the Renewed Hope Development Plan 2026-2030 aimed at consolidating Nigeria's reform agenda and actualising the 1tn economy target of the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

This was part of the resolutions reached at the 151st meeting of the council, which commended the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning for kickstarting the process and also urged the effective participation by all states and stakeholders to ensure inclusivity and accelerated growth.

NEC also asked the Accountant General of the Federation to accelerate the release of funds for the next round of the national polio immunisation campaign to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
