South African Police Service SAPS Crime Intelligence head, Lt-Gen Dumisani Khumalo, says an analysis before two police operations in December 2024 showed that almost the entire Gauteng SAPS was working for a criminal cartel.
Khumalo was testifying on Thursday 15 January before Parliaments ad hoc committee probing claims that criminal syndicates have infiltrated the criminal justice system.
