The Democratic Alliance DA has questioned the timing of Dion Georges resignation from the party and Parliament. President Cyril Ramaphosa removed George from his cabinet position in November last year following allegations of underperformance. Ramaphosa then appointed DA spokesperson, Willie Aucamp as the new Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment.
In a letter to the party, George claims that he was pushed out of the party and that the DA is captured by the ANC through the actions of its leader, John Steenhuisen.
He accuses the DA leader of abusing the partys credit card.
