The N1 at Worcester has been closed until further notice as severe weather continues to impact parts of the Western Cape, Cape townEtc reports.
It comes after Western Cape Premier Alan Winde urged motorists via Facebook, travelling towards Cape Town, to find a safe place to stop overnight until safer and more direct routes reopen.
Several mountain passes along the escarpment are also affected, causing major disruptions to travel in and out of the province.
