The Mozambican government has established the National Agency for Tourism Development and Investment Anditur to coordinate tourism development, facilitate investment and promote the country as a tourism destination.
According to Lusa , a Cabinet-approved decree mandates the agency to coordinate and monitor tourism investments, support strategic tourism projects and promote public-private partnerships in the sector.
Anidtur will also be responsible for developing digital tourism promotion platforms including a national tourism portal, booking systems and market intelligence tools. The decree also calls for the use of artificial intelligence to personalise visitor experiences, analyse market data and support destination management.
