The Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform has officially launched its new national strategy, Digital Morocco 2030 . The strategy aims to transform Morocco into a regional digital hub, accelerating the nations social and economic development. This initiative is aligned with the vision of King Mohammed VI, who has emphasized that digital technology is a structural shift that can create more jobs and investment opportunities.

The Digital Morocco 2030 strategy is built on two key pillars and three accelerators. The first pillar is the Digitalization of Public Services e-Gov, with the goal of improving citizen and business services. The strategy sets an ambitious target to raise Moroccos ranking in the United Nations Online Services Index from 113th worldwide to 50th by 2030. To achieve this, the government plans to create a single portal for all digital public services and generalize the use of shared platforms for electronic identity and signatures.

The second pillar focuses on stimulating the Digital Economy by fostering the production of Moroccan digital solutions and creating value and jobs. The strategy projects the creation of 240,000 direct jobs and a contribution of 100 billion Moroccan Dirhams MAD to the national GDP by 2030. This will be accomplished by developing a high-quality talent pool and attracting foreign companies, particularly in high-value sectors like Artificial Intelligence AI.
