Morocco's Digital Development Agency ADD and the Dubai World Trade Center DWTC are reinforcing their partnership to position Africa as a leader in the global digital economy. The collaboration, which centers on the major technology exhibition GITEX Africa Morocco, is a key component of this ambitious goal.

The Director General of the ADD, Amine El Mezouaghi, recently met with Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of the DWTC, to review the success of the first three editions of GITEX Africa and plan for its future. Both leaders recognize the event as a strategic platform that goes beyond connecting tech companies. Its seen as a catalyst for startups and a magnet for investors, solidifying Africa's role in the digital future. This vision aligns with Moroccos Digital Morocco 2030 strategy, which places digital transformation at the heart of its sustainable development goals.

The partnership aims to build a sovereign and interconnected digital space for the entire continent. GITEX Africa Morocco has already become a continental landmark, attracting over 52,000 visitors and 1,450 exhibitors from more than 130 countries at its last event. This 16 increase in attendance from the previous year highlights growing international interest and Moroccos rising status as a digital hub.
