Premium DStv channel M-Net may lose the right to broadcast the annual Academy Awards Oscars from 2029 following a deal between the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and YouTube announced on Wednesday 17 December.
The multi-year deal gives YouTube the exclusive global rights to the Oscars from 2029 until 2033.
