The uMkhonto weSizwe MK Party has turned to the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria in an urgent bid to revive its challenge against President Cyril Ramaphosas decision to place Police Minister Senzo Mchunu on a leave of absence .
This, after the Constitutional Court refused the party direct access in July, citing that the matter did not fall within its exclusive jurisdiction.
The party seeks to invalidate President Ramaphosas related decisions, that is, to place Mchunu on a leave of absence, the appointment of Prof. Firoz Cachalia as Acting Minister of Police and the establishment of the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
