Two former members of France's Under-18 coaching staff have faced disciplinary sanctions after the disappearance at sea of 17-year-old player Medhi Narjissi during a training camp near Cape Town last year, Cape townEtc reports.
According to The South African Fitness coach Robin Ladauge lost his civil servant status while former manager Stephane Cambos received a two-year suspension, one year of which was suspended, according to sources close to the case.
Narjissi was swept out to sea on 7 August 2024 during a recovery session at Diaz Beach near Cape Point. Rescue teams and family members searched the water but his body has not been recovered Ground News . The disciplinary decisions follow a review by the Ministry of Sports and reporting based on a decree seen by AFP.
