Higher Education Minister Dr. Nobuhle Nkabane was tight lipped when asked about a charge of fraud laid against her by the Democratic Alliance DA yesterday.
The DA believes that Nkabane lied to Parliament with regards to an independent panel that appointed the chairpersons to serve on the boards of the Sector Education and Training Authorities SETA.
The party had also laid complaints with Parliaments Ethics Committee as well as the Public Protector to determine whether Nkabane had breached her code of conduct.
Addressing beneficiaries of the National Skills Fund at an event in Cape Town, Nkabanes response to this was short.
Basically, there is nothing I am going to say. I am going to then comply with the rule of law. I am going to wait for processes to unfold, says Nkabane.
