In a move that has drawn skepticism from users, Meta is rolling out Vibes, a new feed in the Meta AI app and on meta.ai dedicated to short-form, AI-generated videos. Think TikTok or Instagram Reels, but with content generated entirely by artificial intelligence.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduced the feature on Instagram with examples ranging from fuzzy creatures hopping on cubes to an ancient Egyptian woman taking a selfie. Users can create videos from scratch or remix existing ones, adding visuals, music, and styles before sharing them across Meta platforms.

The company partnered with AI image generators Midjourney and Black Forest Labs for the early version, though Meta is developing its own models. Despite Metas heavy AI investments, user comments under Zuckerbergs announcement were overwhelmingly negative, describing the content as AI slop.
