Singer and songwriter, Melvyn Matthews, affectionately known as Mr Weekend Special, will be laid to rest in his hometown in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape on Saturday.
He died at the age of 67, surrounded by his family.
Matthews became a household name when he co-wrote Brenda Fassies hit, Weekend Special, in 1983.
