The Judicial Conduct Tribunal probing sexual harassment allegations against Eastern Cape Judge President Selby Mbenenge continues on Thursday at 9:30 am with the cross-examination of Judges former secretary Zintle Nkqayi.

Nkqayi was the first witness called by the top Judge after Evidence Leader, Advocate Salome Scheepers, closed her case earlier this week.

Her evidence has been mainly focused on the alleged in-person interactions that Judges Secretary Andiswa Mengo testified she experienced allegedly at the hands of the Judge President.

Nkqayi, who was the top Judges secretary at the time, has provided evidence that is contrary to Andiswa Mengo and seemingly may cast doubts on Mengos testimony.

This is in relation to the allegation that Mengo was called to the Judge Presidents chambers and was allegedly asked to perform a sexual act, and the allegation that Mengo saw the Judge President hugging the court manager.
