Eastern Cape Judge President Selby Mbenenge will today take the stand and give his version of events in the Judicial Court Tribunal sexual harassment probe against him.
The top judge is accused of allegedly sexually harassing judges Secretary, Andiswa Mengo, via in-person interactions between June 2021 and November 2022 - an allegation he denies.
While some communication exchanges are not in dispute, there are several other issues which are disputed between the top judge and his accuser.
One such an exchange was the November 2022 chambers incident where Mengo alleges that Mbenenge requested an act of a sexual nature, as well as the allegation that Mengo receieved an explicit image allegedly from the top judge.
