African National Congress ANC Secretary-General, Fikile Mbalula has urged discipline and unity among Johannesburg councillors ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections.
Speaking at the partys regional councillor report-back meeting in the south of Johannesburg, Mbalula said the meeting forms part of the ANCs broader plan to strengthen local government and service delivery. He also defended President Cyril Ramaphosas recent remarks on municipal performance.
ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula called on councillors to show discipline and remain focused on serving communities, saying the task of keeping the ANC strong rests on their shoulders.
