National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola says he will study the report into the acquittal of Deputy President Paul Mashatiles VIP Presidential Protection Unit PPU.
It has emerged that the eight officers have been cleared by an internal police disciplinary process.
However, their court case continues and are out on bail of R10 000 each.
The eight face several charges including assault, malicious damage to property and pointing of a firearm.
This was after a video surfaced of them allegedly assaulting civilians on the N1 highway in Johannesburg in 2023.
