Malusi Gigaba Reacts To Transnet-related Charges: 'my Conscience Is Clear'

Former minister Dr Malusi Gigaba has confirmed that he is set to face charges linked to procurement activities state-owned enterprise SOE Transnet.

In a statement on Friday morning 7 November, Gigaba said the National Prosecuting Authority NPA had informed him that he was required to attend court on 7 November 2025.

He said he would appear in accordance with the summons and in full respect of the rule of law, reaffirming his commitment to cooperating with the judicial process. He also expressed confidence in the integrity and fairness of South Africas legal system.
