Malamulele Police Station Robbery Trial Set To Begin On Monday

Ten men accused of robbing the Malamulele police station of firearms and ammunition in 2021 are expected to stand trial at the Polokwane High Court, Limpopo, on Monday.

The National Prosecuting Authority NPA spokesperson, Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, says the men allegedly stormed the police station, overpowered police officers, and robbed them of firearms kept in the safe at the station.

The men allegedly went on a spate of robberies in areas including Malamulele, Giyani, Bolobedu, Botlokwa, Bandelierkop in Limpopo and Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga. They allegedly robbed cash, cell phones and jewellery from shops.
