The Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training officially commenced the DCLIC project training on January 19, 2026, aimed at equipping young trainees with skills in the digital industry. The event was marked by the presence of Minister TSILEFA Antonio and Mr. Traian Laurenciu Hristea, representative of the International Organization of Francophonia OIF, the project's sponsor.
A total of 30 trainees are participating in the first phase of the program, which spans 30 days. The training structure includes 10 days of face-to-face instruction, followed by 10 days of distance learning, and concludes with another 10 days of in-person sessions. Trainees are receiving both theoretical instruction and hands-on experience with equipment provided for the project.
The initiative is designed to align vocational training with the needs of the job market, ensuring that young people are prepared for employment in the growing digital sector. Over the course of the project, 1,000 young people across four regions-Antananarivo, Antsirabe, Toamasina, and Toliara-are expected to benefit from the training.
