lolulenga to reintroduce black rhino

Lolulenga Private Reserve in Northern Zambia is set to reintroduce black rhinos as part of its ongoing conservation programme.

Spanning 30 000 hectares in northern Kafue, Zambia, Lolulenga says the reserve is dedicated to large-scale ecological restoration through habitat rehabilitation, intensive anti-poaching initiatives and carefully managed species reintroductions.

Lolulenga has already successfully re-established cheetah and lion populations in the park. Three cheetah cubs were born in 2025 and a pair of captive-bred lions were introduced in April this year. The planned rhino reintroduction is part of the reserves broader ecosystem restoration programme.
