Limpopo MEC for Transport and Community Safety Violet Mathye has expressed sadness following a bus crash that killed eight people on the N1 near the Witvlag turn-off outside Louis Trichardt .
Survivors say the bus experienced brake failure several times before the crash. It was carrying 61 passengers from Malawi to different destinations in South Africa.
Mathyes spokesperson, Tshifiwa Dali, says the MEC wishes full recovery to 22 people who have been admitted in hospital.
