A 35-year-old man accused of raping a woman at Plastic View in Hoedspruit in Limpopo is appearing at the local Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba says the woman was with her boyfriend at a tavern on Saturday night when the accused joined them. The accused later offered to take the woman home but instead took her to his home where he raped her.
Mashaba says he released the woman on Sunday morning and she opened a rape case.
