A person has been arrested during a City Power -led electricity disconnection operation in Lenasia south of Johannesburg. The arrest was made after the person threatened City officials and encouraged residents to obstruct law enforcement.
The operation focused on 10 business customers with municipal debt running into hundreds of millions of rands.
Spokesperson Isaac Mangena says customers in Lenasia owe City Power close to R900 million.
