The City of Ekurhulenis Disaster and Emergency Management Services say law enforcement authorities will be deployed to major routes throughout the Easter period.
It says they will monitor traffic flow and ensure compliance with road safety regulations.
The Citys Emergency Services spokesperson, Eric Maloka, has urged drivers to adhere to speed limits, avoid reckless and negligent driving and ensure that their vehicles are roadworthy before embarking on any journey.
