The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport says its using cutting edge technology to keep unroadworthy scholar transport off the road and improve the safety of learners.
Its installing tracking devices in vehicles with government contracts for scholar transport.
The department says this will help monitor the movement of impounded vehicles due to safety issues.
