KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli says the province is moving to address what he has described as the sad reality of qualified people who are unemployed because of a skills mismatch.
Ntuli says the provincial government plans to repurpose non-viable schools into skills development centres - aimed at improving employability and growing the economy.
He was speaking at a Human Resource Development Council meeting in Durban, where stakeholders discussed ways to strengthen the provinces human capital.
