People in KwaZulu-Natal, especially in Durban and surrounding areas, have been asked to take care to stay hydrated in the excessive heat.
With maximum temperatures that can reach the upper 30s, the spokesperson for one of the private ambulances in KwaZulu-Natal, Garrith Jamieson, warns that it can be equivalent to 40 degrees Celsius if humidity is taken into account.
He has urged people to drink lots of water.
