Day visits to the Kruger National Park have been temporarily suspended as persistent heavy rainfall continues to affect parts of Limpopo and Mpumalanga, prompting safety concerns across the reserve, Cape town Etc reports.
According to South African National Parks SANParks , the decision was taken as a precautionary measure while weather and road conditions remain unstable. Officials say the restriction will be reviewed continuously as conditions change.
The move comes following ongoing rainfall that has placed pressure on park operations and emergency response teams.
