Crime Intelligence Head, Dumisani Khumalo is expected to appear before Parliaments Ad Hoc Committee probing allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the criminal justice system.
The Ad Hoc Committee was set up after Kwazulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, made serious allegations implicating politicians, the judiciary and law enforcement officers in criminal activity in a media briefing in July six last year.
Khumalos testimony follows that of former acting National Police Commissioner, Khomotso Phahlane yesterday who told the Committee that political interference in the South African Police Service SAPS has been prevalent for a long time.
